Yes - I have a nice tenor one, but I lent it out to a friend in Devon several months ago and it's still there! I'll probably get it back next year when I'm next in the area. It looked to me as though Gerald Ross's tenor had a thicker 4th string on it - like a guitar - rather than the conventional re-entrant thin 4th string. But I could be wrong - must take a closer look. |

05 Dec 11 - 01:30 PM (#3268844) Subject: RE: How's this for some great uke playing? From: Melissa Will, Mine is just a cheap soprano and I'm beginnery enough that I'm watching a LOT of videos and doing quite a bit of online reading. Lately, I've been running across stuff talking about using a low G on top instead of high. Maybe that's what Gerald Ross did with his.. Darn, I was hoping maybe you have a soprano and had posted a vid of Satisfied, Tickled Too for me to snag some moves from! This is my favorite uke girl at the moment. She's not fancy or showy, and I like her videos: Oh Darling--alosik Can't Play Ukulele with your Butt An energetic Billie Jean: Billie Jean--Jonny Miller |
