I read the article yesterday. Forgive somebody from the spacious Midwest, but I was more amazed at the idea of a bombing range next to a subdivision than by the fact that the cannon went berserk.

Yeah somebody really screwed the pooch on that one. Still - if it was my house I'd want to keep the cannon ball.

Now the house has been "pre-disastered"

This explains why

Yeah... odd how people will build and buy next to an accident waiting to happen, eh?

Well, maybe it was a decommissioned bombing range. Sometimes journalists don't get these things quite right.

It would be kind of hard to get the kids to sleep if the Air Force was doing practice runs next door.

Probably used by the cops, after use by the USAF or the Army. Then folks build subdivisions right up to the fence and complain about the booms.

They do the same thing to shooting ranges which might have been in place for seventy years or more.

It's called "moving to the hazard" in the courts. Real estate developers should be held to better account.

Look at that and think of Waterloo, or any pre- high- explosive- shell battle. Them cannonballs were lethal without going bang.

But that huge thing is a "minivan"??
This is a Mini... and here's the van!
