I purchased a few of these 78rpm lacquers in the 60's and am delighted they have now been made available in a comprehensive, well annotated set. I did not like the way the discs are mounted - in pockets which are not flat. It is possible that it may warp the discs . I've moved my discs to more conventional storage. Has anyone had any problem? It would be nice to have reprints of the original notes which came with the early Takoma (Lp) albums (surreal!!). (Has nothing to do with the Fonotone 78's, but it's all part of the Fahey gestalt, and would have been a nice addition to this package. Best wishes, Thomas. |
