I had many Italian friends and they turned me onto the song. Over the years I have on and off meant to learn it and sing it. I realize it's a big job to translate it and there is no hurry--I have waited 39 years, so a while longer is no problem. However, if I were going to sing it I would change it to 'Hides the sadness of your sighs' to avoid the eyes/eyes repetition. But that's just me. |
