Nick-name amnesty

Sorry to start something so inane, but I've just spent half an hour talking about music theory on the "three chord" thread, and I need something that takes less concentration.

A number of years ago the U.S. Government declared an "amnesty" for draft evaders. "Come home, come home they cried" and the next day half my friends were scrambling to the border to reclaim their passports. My suspicion was that Jimmie Carter thought all the expatriot war protesters had served the equivalent of a jail sentence by living in Canada and surviving a few winters.

Well after reading "Little Neophyte's" heartrending plea to get a "Bigger" nick name, I thought this might serve as the time and place for anyone else desiring a change. By the way Little Neophyte, you may be new to folk, but you're not new to expressing yourself well. I'm glad you're here.
Duckboots' sister started as "duckboots' sister", then went to "knock-knee'd one" and then (thank God) to "McKnees" which is much easier to spell. So it can easily be done folks. Any takers?

Rick (I'm thinking about it)

Well, it's easy enough to change your name through the Membership link without changing the rest of your registration, but I don't think I like it. I'm going back to my usual name, now that I've seen that this experiment works.
-Joe Offer-

(I changed my name for a moment, and it seems to affect most of the stuff I posted. I changed it back quick. Whew!)

Gosh, Joe - it works! I'm tired of hiding behind my real name. (Not really)

Thought you'd all like to know: We're having an auction of Woody Guthrie's banjo next week.

Christie from Christie's ;-)

Looks like your name changes in all your posts when you reset your nickname. Joe's back to normal, I reverted back to Jeri (I was "Clamfoot" very briefly,) and I think Charlie was supposed to be Christie from Christie's. I posted in another thread as Christie from Hoboken, but now it says I'm Jeri. Oh darn.

You watch, Rick suggests amnesty, and everyone will want to come out of the closet. Except me that is because I can't reach the door handle. Hi Rick
