My friend Phil. We grew up together, gave me my first guitar. He still can do lead and make a guitar sing. We had our first garage band in HS. Haven't seen him in years

Ah. I see, Dan. I just like well-crafted music, whatever the box.

Thanks Maeve. Phil is pretty well known, he has played at the White House (Bush) , and with a host of recording artists. He is a studio musician. He was my best friend in HS ... learned my first chord on the guitar he gave me from him. Now I got old and he still looks the same except for a little gray I don't get it ... maybe cause I had three girls LOL

Ahem! The Mudcat Cafe was originally a BLUES and folk music site. Note that blues comes before folk. And if that ain't blues, I dunno what its. I believe that is the way it went... Max could set me straight if I am wrong.

The fact that it mas morphed into a trad music site also is indicative of the fact that blues has every right to be here. Matter of fact, I think Max's policy of freedom of speech allows discussion of any type of music.

Now, I gotta go start supper and listen to that great blues.

I could never get the hang of triple pickin on leads. Most of you here can do it but my brain is not wired to do it I guess. Love JJF .. great lead work
