20 Jan 12 - 09:30 AM (#3293322) Subject: Obit: R.I.P. Martin Lee From: Andy Jackson Sadly we lost a good friend, Martin Lee, this morning. From Southampton (UK), Martin followed in his brother's footsteps and became a very popular local singer/songwriter latterly with Three's Company. Well known on the 80's Sidmouth scene for gate duties and generally jolly larks, he will be missed by the many that knew him. Andy |

20 Jan 12 - 10:16 AM (#3293357) Subject: RE: Obit: R.I.P. Martin Lee From: GUEST,Jon Heslop Oh no! Like Andy, I remember Martin from my days in Southampton when I was in a group (Omen) with Martin's older brother Brian. When I first new him he wasn,t even legally old enough to go in the pub (not that that ever stopped him)so he couldn't have been that old. One hesititates to ask the cause of his demise. Like his brother he was a fine singer with a wide repetoire, a great sense of humour and I for one am pleased to have known him. My sympathy goes out to all his family. The world and folk music is a duller place without him. Jon Heslop |

22 Jan 12 - 09:15 AM (#3294396) Subject: RE: Obit: R.I.P. Martin Lee (January 2012) From: MBSLynne I'm really very sad about this. He was one of the campsite steward crowd in my early years of Sidmouth and a bench person in the Middle Bar. Not only a great singer but a great sense of humour. We had some really good laughs. Very young to go. I dare ask why even if Jon doesn't. Love Lynne |
