BS: Calling all Mudcatters-rename Kendall's book

27 Jan 12 - 08:46 AM (#3297148)
Subject: BS: Calling all Mudcatters
From: kendall

My friend, Duane Degutis has made a really Herculean effort to transfer my old book, Stories told in the kitchen, to two cds. I have a request, considering that I have never liked the title, I would appreciate some ideas from you for a new title.
It's a collection of Maine humor and my own observations which was printed over 30 years ago. Now, the thing is,many people have bought the original book so I want them to know that the CD is not a new work.
It needs a catchy title, and maybe a sub title.I'd like the word MAINE in it simply because anything with MAINE on it sells like ladders in a burning building.

GO!

I don't need the kitchen thing in the main title, but I do think I should somehow let any potential buyer know it is the old book reborn. If someone was to buy the CD and then find out that it is just an old book that they already have, they might have a problem with that.

"Downeast Lies In Maine"

Kendall, do you have any ideas concerning the cover art?
We discussed Sandy's promotional photos. Caroline found the proof sheets with one of your other recordings. I plan to take my digital camera with me on my next trip to Folk Legacy and I'll make some digital copies of the proofs. I was toying with the idea of taking a digital image of one of Sandy's photos and editing it in Photoshop or another program to make it look like an oil painting. What do you think?

Do have a great day,
Duane.
