This song is from the movie "Lights of old Santa Fe", and is sung in whole towards the beginning of the movie, and then in part during the medley at the end.

here's the lyrics as I can make them out.

Swing your partner to the right
Swing her back and hold her tight
Swing her far into the night
That's the cowpoke polka
Do-se-do and promenade
To some other little maid
Swing her once and then you trade
That's the cowpoke polka
One little bird and three red hens
The bird hops out and the crow hops in
Chicken in the bread pan, pickin' out dough
The crow hops out and away you go
Circle late and swing your part [this is the line I'm not sure of]
Swing her easy, not to hard
Rattle your spurs 'till you get tired [??]
That's the cowpoke polka

From that mp3 (after suitable amplification and loops, it seems you were pretty close: Cowpoke Polka
(Tim Spencer)

The crow hops out and away you go

Circle lane and swing your pard'
Swing her easy, not too hard
Rattle your spurs 'till you get tired

George's 'pard' looks right however.

Thanks, George! Your 'version' looks more correct than mine. :) I was going off of the one in the movie (hear it HERE).

Thanks again!

Suggested correction to the line "One little bird and three red hens"
It is more likely "One little bird and three rail pen".

If you google that line with quotes there are many results, including a site for Gabby Hayes: "http://www.gabbyhayes.org/gabby_in_movies/movies_with_roy/lights_of_old_sante_fe/lights_of_old_sante_fe.htm
