BS: It's Plain Mr Fred Again

So Mr Goodwin, the banker everyone loves to hate, has been stripped of his knighthood: an empty title and an empty gesture.
When Henry VIII came to the throne he executed his father's greedy and highly unpopular finance ministers. Life's just not fun anymore!
Who next should lose his or her title next? Any ideas 'Catters?
I would suggest 'Sir' (Yes really) Rupert Murdoch who is a papal knight and was dubbed by the then Pope in Los Angesles some years ago, I believe. For what services I cannot imagine.

Highest in the list of scumbags would be Mark Thatcher and Jeffrey Archer.

I think his descendents should have to spell their name with a lower-case g, like the ffollietts, who lost their uppercase F when their ancestor lost his head to the Crown at some point.

What about taking away the 'Mr' as well?

I bet Americans wish they had an honours system too, so that they'd have had such an effective solution to the economic crisis.

I agree Bainbo, it doesn't really achieve much, stripping him of anything. But it's therapeutic. It's the equivalent of small children going "Mler!"

Give him his knighthood back. And he can give us OUR money back.

They used to have a really effective way out here until they got a court system.

3-7-77 and all that.

The removal of the "Sir" is simply a sop to pulic opinion and does not tackle the real problem - We the pulic were robbed by the likes of Goodwin & Co who are probably sitting comfortably somewhere laughing at us. The knighthood is of no consquence to him. Its a pity his dad didn;t wear a "night hood" and then the problem would have been stopped at source

Yet another case for time travelers yelling "Stop that!".

There was a young man from Cape Horn
Who wished that he'd never been born
And he wouldn't have been
If his father had seen
That the end of the rubber was torn.

I personally think he should never have had an honour - NOR a lot of other'BigWigs' who were only doing what the were paid to do , and not very well either !
Mr Fred has been chosen as a scapegoat and to stop 'us' screaming for ALL their usless bloody heads !

That's easy to work out. The Pope is the CEO of The Corporate Religious Bastards, so he'll have knighted Rupie for helping to keep La People dumbed down to a sufficient level to keep giving loadsa money to his Church whilst never asking why so many Roman Catholics live in abject poverty..and misery...and guilt..and deep depression from being metally, physically, or sexually abused by some of those within his Corporate Church.

And (Joe) I'm not having a go at the Good Guys 'n' Gals of the RC Church or others, just those who've done such terrible evil along the way.
