BS: Obama on jobs

Here is his record

Do you want more Obama or more unemployment?

Everyone wants more employment. Most people also want less war, less erosion of civil rights, less environmental destruction, fewer lies by the governing, less erosion to the value of the dollar, and more adherence to the rights and freedoms originally enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

If I was an American, though, I wouldn't want either a Democratic or a Republican president, and I would despair at the thought of having to choose between the two of them. I'd want someone not attached in any way to either one of those corrupted political organizations.

Everyone wants more employment. Not really. You will see how many people vote against Obama. They will be voting for unemployment.

And if you were an American at the moment they are the only choices you would have.

Of course the other side has already said that these numbers are false, a pack of lies, distortions ect. But what would you expect? They can't possibly admit that the economy is slowly getting better.

Most people just believe whatever they want to believe, Bert. That's how the human mind works. And they only really listen to a source they already agree with! Naturally, supporters of the Republicans believe that what Obama says is false, and supporters of the Democrats believe that what he says is true. That's standard human psychology.

It's not until those 2 parties cease to exist that your nation will be free of the entrenched mental programming (brainwashing) that is presently making its political system utterly unviable...not to mention, downright insane.

I agree that you have no other choices before you. That's because the game is rigged from the top down. As I said, if I was faced with only that choice myself, I would despair. And I might consider moving somewhere else, frankly. But that's not an easy choice to make either.

I do think virtually everyone genuinely wants more employment...except for the bosses at the very top, because if they can keep unemployment high then they've got the workers at their mercy and they can keep the wages low and the benefits and job conditions minimal. And that profits the bosses, doesn't it?

I dunno, LH--I still listen to Rapparree, even though I have never agreed with anything he has said.

Indeed! Clinton had an amazing intuitive grasp when it came to jobs. What a guy, eh? ;-D

Bert - Yes, we DO have a party system in Canada...and it sucks! It's the main thing standing in the way of responsible and truly representative democracy in my country. But it's still not half as bad as what you've got with the 2 Mega-parties in the USA.

You'd have to live up here for a bit to appreciate the oddities and intricacies of Canadian multi-party politics (Conservatives, Liberals, New Democrats, Greens, and Bloc Quebecois). It's downright silly at times...but it could be a whole lot worse. ;-D Our presently governing Conservative party under Stephen Harper is just a gutless corporate cipher that does anything the USA wants it to...providing it doesn't utterly outrage the Canadian public to a point that would become dangerous to Mr Harper.
