On one side, in large letters: "WTF", on the other side: "Wilson Track & Field" (or something like that). |

Couple of years back, Northwest Airlines came out with their new logo: NWA. Some Einstein PR consultant apparently did not know the "other" meaning of that... Saul |

What started out as some "look where WE go" thing is now a national craze. The local school district here is Fairfield-Union so our oval proudly shows our support.....FU BTW......The local legend, a myth but many swear it true, is that there was serious thought into using Charging Knights for the school nickname............... 12 Feb 12 - 05:14 PM (#3307113) Subject: RE: BS: How to promote your city - WTF??:-) From: catspaw49 Depends on the situation and who is up. If you're trying to advancse a runner against a deep in field, a bunt might be a great idea. Mickey Mantle was one f the finest power hitters ever to play but he was also a true artist as a bunter. 12 Feb 12 - 07:15 PM (#3307177) Subject: RE: BS: How to promote your city - WTF??:-) From: Ed T I could never quite get "who is hitting on whom", with all the finest bunts put to the side. But, I do undertand that all bunts are not alike, regardless of who is the hitter, which may be the point? Some really fine bunts are delightful to see. |

Apparently some guy got thrown outta watching a football game for saying FU to another fan... Seems that FU ain't what it used to be and that there is now a law suit that has been brought by the FU utterer... His attorney claims that FU has not only become common place in out language but that this guy has a 1st amendment right to FU anyone he wants as long as it isn't threatening... Jury still out... 13 Feb 12 - 08:15 AM (#3307365) Subject: RE: BS: How to promote your city - WTF??:-) From: Ed T I suspect "evolving community standards" determines if the use of a word is offensive or not in the criminal code. The intended threat is an interesting measure. IMO, this word (unfortunately) has lost it's bite" due to overuse. Is there a good back up word, in case it just gets too "candy assed" to use by tough folks in "the holler"? Even grandmothers are using it in cooking nowadays. ("Just add some "fucking flour" to the mix""). |
