Chris Smither is one of those performers whose tour dates I check from time to time, and who I I'll travel a long way (by British standards) to go and see. But I hadn't seen these dates - and there's one virtually on my doorstep. Tickets now booked, as a result of your post! And I can only echo the previous entreaties to go and see him. He's such a warm, engaging and talented singer, guitarist and songwiter. |

14 Feb 12 - 05:28 PM (#3308582) Subject: RE: Chris Smither 2012 UK Tour From: lefthanded guitar He's terrific, I've been following him stateside since the 70's; he's a consumate guitarist, a superlative songwriter and 'songcatcher ' - to me, he's one of the most enjoyable, and under rated singer/songwriters ever. He often brings his own 'floor' - a round wooden pallet that he uses to tap time out on in a engaging percussion. Glad he's getting out and about across the pond. Don't know if they'd let him bring his floor on the plane tho. ;D |
