10 Mar 12 - 05:07 AM (#3320816) Subject: RE: 2BS&S at South Shields FC April 1st From: stallion oh yes temporary glitch, was doing really well but had a bit of a setback, nothing I cannot handle, medicated to the eyeballs....got to get some work in though...we've been going up annually for about six years, we put the set together last week and we will be doing sixteen we haven't done there before, some are well embedded in our repertoire some are works in progress and are about ready for an outing, all have a rollicking chorus, one or two we get requested so they are in. Funny is, we more often than not sprinkle two or three thoughtful slow ones in but we couldn't find anywhere to fit them in. They do like a good sing at South Shields! Anyone want to trave? l There will be twenty or so chorus songs to join in with and I am sure they do floor spots, as a performer I really enjoy the evening it is fun and I am sure the audience do too. See ya all there |

01 Apr 12 - 03:34 AM (#3331882) Subject: RE: 2BS&S at South Shields FC April 1st From: stallion Well folks it is tonight, what a difference a week makes, this time last week I was watching the Barcelona marathon just a few strides from the Place De La Catalunya and staying in a flea pit of a hostel just off the Ramblas, had me bag with me towel and swimmers in it stolen, I nodded off in the cafe and when the misses went to the loo some one had half inched it from the seat next to me. It is easy to get the impression the whole population of Barca are theives , 40% of the population under 25 are out of work and there is a prevailing mood that the spanish have been shafted by the world so foreigners are fair game. the cafe was half full and no one saw it go, seems like it has become a honoured profession and that if you lose your bag it is your fault for not chaining it to yourself . The police have flooded the Ramblas, probably due to the amount of bag snatching that was going on, according to a brit living locally, people had wised up and were making snatching more difficult and so the snatching got violent. Anyway all they got was a rucksack with two towels some suntan lotion and a couple of bits of underware (we were wearing our cosies) and my jumper, Suppose it could have been worse. If you happen to be in Barca and see some one wearing a wicked fish jumper, white, the original style, and he looks shifty turn him in to the cops are give him a whack on the nose, it was my favourite jumper. |

Oh it is Weird Fish not wicked fish just can't get the damned idea of being robbed out of my head!!!!! |
