I would be willing to bet that 99% of all musicians in the Montreal area and visiting musicians' have been to his store. And chances are they have met him. He trusted me for a set of strings one time when I was broke. Paid him back about a week later. I never forgot that. The store motto was right: if Steve's didn't have it, ya didn't need it.
