Oh Geez!

Even in my rare very best voice, the listener enjoyment was greatly enhanced by good wine, good company and a kind ear. And although I haven't mentioned it before, I've developed undiagnosed vocal chord problems that gradually worsened to the point that I stopped singing at all 9 or 10 months ago.

Still ya'll are very kind (and my main job in Bobert's Blue's Band is to beat a tamborine and shake my tailfeathers - don't take no vocal chords to do that - can I keep my lifetime membership?)

Honey,'there's nothing to worry about if'n you still have tailfeathers to shake!:-)

(But, I'd still love to *hear* you, too, even if what you have is from a while ago. Take care of those vocal chords, okay?)

Janie... I am so sorry to hear of your vocal cord problems. I am a member of the club along with Kendall, Tom and at least a half dozen others I can think of off the top of my head. It sucks big time. Truly sorry to hear this.

I can't remember on which CD it is, but "Little Sally Walker Down in New Orleans" is on one of the Mudcat "This Is Us" cd's. Muffed the last line on one of verses or choruses and it is a Garage Band recording made without me understanding anything about how to record.

This is not false modesty. Like most people, I can (could) sing. But it is enjoyable and entertaining in the context of personal relationships or direct social interaction, and not otherwise so interesting. Music of and with folks, vs folk music and performance.
