Anyway, on the site "The Likkie Shrine," at http://www.angelfire.com/biz3/ISB/likkie.html David Evans mentions hearing Licorice sing "a song called Old Songs And Cottages which was so amazing I had to learn it. She felt so close to that song that she refused to teach anybody how it goes. I still remember the first two chords and have been playing with them for the past 18 years." Has anyone ever heard sing "Old Songs and Cottages?" Anyone know the words? It'd be a fine thing to turn up the song after all these years. (On the other hand, I am sensitive to Likkie's refusal to teach it ...) It's a choice, of course. But Likkie would be something like 64 by now. Maybe she wouldn't mind if we sang her song. Bob |
