Tech: Toolbar on Personal Page

Since we went off half-cocked on the little green face a couple of weeks back I thought I'd start a calm, introspective thread that acknowledges the presence of a toolbar that drifts up from the bottom of the page on the Mudcat.org Personal Page.

Has anyone used any of the chat features? And I see the Mudcat facebook (Mudcat.org) page goes to a different one than the Mudcat Cafe groups page. It looks like the facebook Mudcat.org page is where topics go when we click on the blue f to share them when we're reading or writing to an actual Mudcat.org page. Same with the Twitter link - fed by the share button with the light blue t from an actual mudcat.org thread.

The video chatroom is joined with a logon through facebook, Tumblr, Twitter or as a guest. Looks like the typing chat uses something called Wibiya, which is also the toolbar name. I'm not going to test all of these now, but just noting that they're here. The video chat did turn on my camera when I told it it could. Wibiya- never heard of it before, but that isn't surprising. Sites come and go so quickly here. Lots of chat - there's also something called VooVoo Chat.

There is a set of YouTube videos that look recommended or pre-selected. Will have to poke around in there. And the most important button, first one on the left, goes to PayPal and lets you donate to the Mudcat Cafe Music Foundation. (I sent a small payment through to test it. Works perfectly.)

So that's what it's all about,LOL (not that I understood a word of your post, SRS).
What I can't understand is that if some people can't even sort out how to make a 'blue clicky' thingy, how do they understand all this blue f facecake mudgroup page malarky?
As far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't have any explanation as to what it is or how it works, it must be like the little box at the bottom of an official form that says 'DONT WRITE HERE, FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY'.
I saw it.. I ignored it, now I feel calm and introspective.

Me too! I saw it, but it's not distracting - it doesn't move or flash - and I don't need anything that's on it. I guess after I notice a couple more times, I won't even see it.

Has anyone tried any of the features? I use Google+ for video chat with friends in my circles, but this looks like it is broadened to Mudcat members.
