Lyr Add: My (sort of) new Easter song

Subject: Lyr Add: Genie's (sort of) new Easter song
From: Genie

I wrote the lyrics to this Easter song about 3 years ago and sang it at my church, but I wasn't fully happy with the chords/tune, and I'm still fiddling with both.

Here are the lyrics:

JOY FOR THE GLORIOUS MORNING!
(words & music by R. Jeanene Pratt, © 2009)

Joy, joy! What a glorious morning!
Oh, what a beautiful day!
The cold, dark tomb couldn't bury the Light
And the stone's been rolled away!

Sing, Sing, for the new day's dawning,
Heaven and earth reborn!
Hate couldn't conquer the power of Love
On this peaceful Easter morn,
On this blessed Easter morn.

(Bridge)
Just three days ago / they put Love on trial
'Cause they could not understand.
Ignorance and fear seemed to rule the minds*
And darken** the hearts of man.

Just three days ago / darkness seemed to reign,
We'd been blinded by the Light.
But chains and fear / could not contain
The power of Love Divine.

So sing out, let your voice ring out!
Love victorious reigns!
Let the earth abound with joyful sound,
For Hope is born again.

Praise, praise for the glorious morn', let
Music fill the earth!
Sing, for a new day is dawning
With the promise of rebirth.

So, joy, joy for the glorious morning!
Oh, what a jubilant day
When Love sprang forth - without a sound -
And rolled that stone away,
And rolled that stone away!

* or "day"
** or "harden"

If anyone feels inspired to set the lyrics to music, I'd be very interested in hearing that.
I kind of like my basic music structure - and the lyrics and tune were pretty much written together - but I'm not in love with all the parts of my tune, and I'm still putzing around with chords.

OK, here are the (embedded) chords, for the tune in its present form.

I'm getting more comfortable with the tune as I've tweaked bits and pieces of it, but I'm still open to changes.

J[G]oy, jo[C]y! What a gl[D7]orious m[G]orning!

O[C]h, what a be[D]autiful da[G]y!

The co[Em]ld, dark to[Am]mb couldn't b[B7]ury the Li[C]ght

And the st[Em]one's been ro[B7] lled aw[Em]ay!   [C][D7][G]

Si[G]ng, Si[C]ng, for the ne[D7] w day's da[G]wning,

He[Am]aven and e[A]arth reb[B7]orn!

Ha[Em]te couldn't conquer the po[B7]wer of Lo[C]ve

On this pe[Em]aceful E[B7]aster mo[Em]rn,

On this ble[C]ssed E[B7]aster m[Em]orn.

[Am]Just three days ago / th[G]ey put Love on trial

[Am] 'Cause they could not understa[Em]nd.

I[Am] gnorance and fear se[G]emed to rule the minds

And d[Am]arken the he[F] arts of m[E]an.

[Am]Just three days ago / da[G]rkness seemed to reign,

W[F]e'd been blinded by the Li[E]ght.

[F] But fear and cha[Fm]ins co[C]uld not conta[Am]in

The p[Dm]ower of Lo[F]ve Divi[E]ne.    [E7]

So si[G]ng o[C]ut, let your vo[D7]ice ring o[G]ut!

Lo[C]ve vict[D7]orious re[G]igns!

Let the e[Em]arth abo[Am]und with jo[B7]yful so[C]und,

For H[Em]ope is bo[B7]rn aga[Em]in.   [C][D7][G]

Pra[G]ise, pra[C]ise for the gl[D7]orious m[G]orn'! Let

M[C]usic f[D7]ill the e[G]arth!

Si[Am]ng, for a n[Em] ew d[B7]ay is d[C]awning

With the pr[Em]omise o[B7]f rebi[Em] rth.   [C][D7][G]

So, j[G]oy, j[C]oy for the gl[D7]orious m[G]orning!

O[C]h, what a j[D7]ubilant d[G]ay

When Lo[Am]ve sprang f[F]orth witho[B7]ut a sou[Em]nd

And r[G]olled that st[B7]one aw[Em]ay!

And ro[C]lled that sto[D7]ne aw[G]ay!

Thanks, Leeneia.

Our church pianist is working up a piano background and harmony backup, and we will sing the song this Sunday.   I hope to get at least a good audio recording and possibly a good video as well.    I changed the chords/tune slightly in places since I posted, and I'll post the correct ones after I get the recording to share.

Here's the video.   The church's sound tech didn't have my piano accompanist, Suzan's, voice mic or my guitar mic turned up high enough for her voice or my guitar to be heard much in the video, so I overdubbed the guitar and some harmony of my own.
