14 Apr 12 - 08:24 PM (#3338429) Subject: Tune Req: Hunting For an Irish Lament For a Drowne From: SeaCanary I am trying to track down the name of a lament I heard decades ago. This is what I think I remember of it: 1) The name of the lament was something like "The First/Second/whatever Tuesday in April/May/whatever". 2) It was a Chieftains recording. 3) As the title of the thread says, it was for a drowned son. Any help would be appreciated. A hyper-link to the tune would be greatly appreciated. |

They have so many recordings and no general list of song titles. Hopefully someone else may actually know the song you are interested in. I'm not even sure it was The Chieftains but that sounds right because I wasn't listening to any other Irish music at the time except them. |
