The Ballad Workshop - Glasgow

Subject: Folklore: The Ballad Workshop - Glasgow
From: randjgc

It's monthly meeting time, at our usual (but now brighter) venue.
That makes it April 29th at 1pm.
For this Workshop, the plan is to re-visit a couple of Ballads that have been analysed/brutalised/sung-alised over the last couple of years. A wee refresher, partly to see if they are well-remembered, and partly to see if there are any new views or slants on them. Should be interesting.
PLUS - bring yer ain ballad!! We need three or four brave souls to nominate their preference and deliver on the day.
Prizes galore! Admission charges as usual.
In the meantime, with Anne's (EKanne) computer being hors-de-combat, any folk with further enquiries, or intending to come along, please contact me at +44 (0)141 577 6708, or ronnie.clark@gmx.co.uk

This should be an interesting one. I think it's a grand idea to go back and look at what we've done. I'm looking forward to it.

Back in the land of the living with a new computer (having killed the old one), so it's great to catch up with how things are going.
Really looking forward to this event too!

Can I offer 'Matty Groves'?
