However I have met with Amy and have agreed to help run a club there if we can gain interest, this is why I passed on the Mudcat web address for them. I have asked around at the Wath Folk Club and I have a little interest from there so I guess in the next few weeks we may get started with something. As you know it is festival season so it's not the best time to start a club. However we will try, it will be nice to see you both if you can make it but please wait for an official start date before you head out. Ian |

17 May 12 - 10:36 AM (#3352034) Subject: RE: New folk club in The Falcon, Mexborough From: GUEST,Square The Circle May I suggest that if this is a long term idea that you: Give the Club a Name / Identity Create a website, ours has proved to be invaluable let people know if it's in a separate room, is there an entrance fee, do you intend to book artists for concerts, or even just to join in with the club on the odd occasion, how often the club will meet, run some flyers off the computer and put them on the bar. Good luck and may it run for a very long time. |

Rhiannon there is no problem with wheelchair access. Guest, there is a facebook group and a link to it in an earlier post. The name is "The Mexborough Falcon Acoustic". The club is run weekly on a Wednesday Evening. All this information is on the Facebook Group. No answer as yet to other questions until the club has run a few weeks but advice will be given that answers your questions soon. |
