21 Apr 12 - 09:37 AM (#3341269) Subject: Lyr Req: One Guitar, Two Feet From: wysiwyg This is one of those songs you hear a snatch of on the radio while driving, no title given... that you just HAVE to have because it says it ALL. I have about a minute and a half of it in MP3 format, because I was able to hit record on my player as I blew thru rush hour, but it is not clear enough or long enough to get much more than the beat and the stong, playful melody. (Can email; PM for addy.) Clues: "dance with me" It was in a World Music segment on NPR I think; It was on Rochester NY radio 88.5 on Thursday afternoon; I believe the singer's idea is that he's busking on a corner and wants not only the various peeps passing by to dance (whatever their sitch, but in fact the whole world. Any help appreciated, ~Susan |

The lyric they are singing at YouTube and on my radio-recorded snippet area each a bit different from the above and from each other (Bruce-- where didja get 'em?). I've begun transcribing what I have. The album this appears on (HOME) is due for May 29 release-- I must have heard the pre-release promo copy on the radio. Here is what I have so far-- more ears welcome-- to work from. ~Susan == MAN ON FIRE Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (more to transcribe and post from) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLAAhaLGzeQ I am a man on fire Walkin' to your street With one guitar, and two dancing feet Only one desire that's left in me I want the whole damn world to come dance with me Oh, oh come dance with me Oh, all the heartache and shame Come set us free All the murder and pain I want to see our bodies burning like old big suns I want to see everybody burning like old big suns La da....
