29 Apr 12 - 11:33 PM (#3345046) Subject: RE: February Sky in Virginia and Cleveland From: CupOfTea I'm very much looking forward to the return of February Sky. They did a previous house concert in this lovely house (not mine, sadly) as well as some well attended and enthusiasticly enjoyed concerts for the Mountian Rose concert series in Kent- such a hit for the concert series that they became headliners for Mountain Rose's yearly folk festival bash in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Both having been seasoned performers in other lineups, they started out very strongly as a duo, and keep getting better and more interesting. The mix of Phil's traditional roots and Susan's songwriting is greater than the sum of the parts...magical, really. Joanne in Cleveland (who is already tidying up the piles of music and albums to make room for their multiinstrumental extravaganza) |
