23 May 12 - 05:18 AM (#3354656) Subject: RE: Shepley Spring Festival 2012 From: Wheatman We are hitching up Bella (the caravan) early to morrow coz we have been told the seats for the concert have to be in place for Thursday's show. I hope the sound men will have finished in time. Even if the weather is fine (we hope so this year) the nights are cold. Wear your pyjamas under your day clothes for the evening concerts, bliss. 28 May 12 - 04:22 PM (#3356534) Subject: RE: Shepley Spring Festival 2012 From: GUEST,mick Highlight of the weekend for us was the Wilson Family on Saturday evening. We are not usually in to unaccompanied harmony singing, but we went along with freinds of ours to the Coach House and we were blown away. The actual energy and power which they produce is breathtaking, and the obvious pleasure they themselves get back from thier interaction with the audience, made for a very exciting finale to the concert, which earned them a well deserved standing ovation. |
29 May 12 - 03:02 AM (#3356679) Subject: RE: Shepley Spring Festival 2012 From: Wheatman Well done to all involved especially after the Thursday night problems. The Kells all had a great time and would like to thank those who made the voluntary donation for the camping it could make the difference. See you next year (we hope) Gan canny Brian |

29 May 12 - 09:53 AM (#3356782) Subject: RE: Shepley Spring Festival 2012 From: GUEST,Big Mike Great Weekend. Melrose Quartet where fantastic as was Steve Tilston and the Durbervilles on Saturday afternoon. The younger and up coming musicians were impressive too. Obviously Blair Dunlop has a long and bright future but Flats and Sharps cornish bluegrass band where really good and David Shevelev who id never heard of before either followed them on the main stage on Sunday with some great guitar and songs. Fantastic weekend overall and looking forward to next year. |
