14 May 12 - 07:56 AM (#3350632) Subject: RE: Tech: Getting into mac application folders From: Andrez One weird thing I've noticed in Mac OSX Lion is the all of a sudden the Applications folder and its contents start asking for user authentication to either access the whole folder or certain sub folders even just to open and look in let alone add a document. The Utilities folder here is another culprit. This remains unchanged even if you check the permissions in the top level Applications folder. You have to repeat the permissions authentication process on the Utilities folder. Then if you have to use Disk Utility it finds these manually set ACLS and undoes them again. On of a number of minor annoyances in Lion not fixed by the latest updater to 10.7.4. Cheers, Andrez |
