25 May 12 - 06:35 PM (#3355701) Subject: RE: BS: Shatner on TV tonight From: gnu John... "(Never thought I'd sday those words about Cap'n Kirk)" Many people say that. They just haven't, I believe, seen much of his work. We, as Canucks, have seen much more than most and realize that he is truly a great actor and comdedian and a pioneer into the inane and absurd DESPITE the emoting characters he has portrayed... when one adds it all up, it almost appears he was having a lark with the viewers of "the bad acting" all along. I am sure it will be looked at and studied in the future. I dare say he will be touted as a genious actor and satirist as much as the Other Bill was a playwright. And, he's got some nice horses on his ranches so he musta done somethin right. Live long and prosper... eh. |
