Saw him on Broadway in his one-man show, "Shatner's World," back in February, a month shy of his 81st birthday. He held the stage for a hundred uninterrupted minutes, telling stories, showing film clips and generally being William Shatner.

I was impressed...

He is pretty amazin'. If he wasn't a Canadian, I bet he'd have been elected president of the USA by now. Too bad he ain't a chimp.

He turned out to be the kidnapping victim's grandfather but also a drunk. Who says he has no affect. He cries and does angry/crazy well.

No one said he had no affect. They said he had no effect.

Anyway, they was wrong! He has a big effect. Bein' affected by Shatner is an effect to remember.

"Have I Got News For You"... I can't find it on Rogers cable. Is it a new show? Does it air on Canuck/Yank networks?

It was a really good episode - genuinely funny and relaxed - think HIGNFY can be a bit stilted sometimes but I really enjoyed tonight's programme.

John-

Why is it that we can't get these shows in the Colonies? It's just not fair. We always pay our tea taxes, stamp taxes, and tax taxes, and we get no respect!

John... "(Never thought I'd sday those words about Cap'n Kirk)"

Many people say that. They just haven't, I believe, seen much of his work. We, as Canucks, have seen much more than most and realize that he is truly a great actor and comdedian and a pioneer into the inane and absurd DESPITE the emoting characters he has portrayed... when one adds it all up, it almost appears he was having a lark with the viewers of "the bad acting" all along. I am sure it will be looked at and studied in the future. I dare say he will be touted as a genious actor and satirist as much as the Other Bill was a playwright.

And, he's got some nice horses on his ranches so he musta done somethin right.

Live long and prosper... eh.
