When I've been there, the Middle Bar high-heid yuns don't pick anyone, well-known or otherwise. And they do listen. On the other hand, some of them can't perform without words in front of them (And may I take this opportunity to say how strongly I disapprove, and certainly wouldn't claim to know all the standards. And a good chorus should be slown down. It's a natural tendancy in a crowd anyway: people enjoy lingering on the notes. |
