The festival has developed from nothing within just a few years, and deserves credit for, among other things, commissioning Mick Ryan's magnificent song-cycle story of the workhouses, The Pauper's Path. (There's a rare chance to catch a performance this weekend at Chippenham, with accomplished backing from members of Thoresby Colliery brass band.) Here's the line-up for Southwell . |
