Just heard that Dick Siddall (DixieDoll) has died on holiday in France. Dick was a member of Fylde committee and a member of Nonsuch Dulcimer Club.

He will be sadly missed.

How sad, was looking forward to seeing him at Fylde Folk Festival.

Dot has my deepest sympathy. He will indeed be missed.

I'm not sure how often our paths crossed with Dick's, but I remember him from the Nonesuch gatherings & he introduced our Bellamy: Kipling with the Tradition show at Fylde last year.

RIP & much respect.

Sean.

Are any links to his music available?

You don't want such a link SRS. Amongst other accomplishments Dick has held the title (awarded annually at Fylde) of the 'Worst Singer in the World'.

His rendering of 'There's a Hole in my Bucket' has made grown men weep.

Whether there's anything from his hammered dulcimer playing, I don't know - perhaps someone from the Nonsuch Dulcimer Club would know.
