Well, the P-Vine and I were up in Winston-Salem today on a garden tour and stopped at the world renowned Lexington BBQ... Not being a pig eater I donno but the P-Vine says it's great...

Anyone else been there??? Or go a BBQ joint they want to brag on???

Well, the Rendezvous in Memphis is pretty good. So is Central. Both also serve pulled or bbq'ed chicken and beef. My wife swears by the bbq in Charlotte.

What joint, Rap... We have Big Bob Gibsons which the P-Vine says is tops... I like their chicken... White sauce... Very good...

She and her friend Mary were there for a meeting a couple years ago and cruised the bbq and juke joints. She hasn't named names.

Hey Sidewalk,

Pardon the thread creep, but I don't get on here much anymore so I'll take this opportunity to tell you that you'd like The Mystery Hillbillies.   http://mysteryhillbillies.com They do their thing over your way in the Piedmont. Michele is a festival pal.

If you see them, tell Michele I sent you.

White BBQ sauce? Yuck.

I'm not a fan of the whole Carolinas trip... that's not real barbecue sauce. Too thin and vinegary - and mayo has no business in BBQ sauce.
