We were fortunate enough to have Blair Dunlop at Newport Folk Club last night, what a refreshing surprise he was, He gave 2 varied sets including songs and tunes, mixed slow ballads with fast rhythmical songs, some of his own, mixed in a little Nic Jones and Richard Thompson and really engaged with the audience. For someone so young, excellent.

Saw him at Cecil Sharp House twice - excellent, at Hastings and Brighton with Ashley - excellent, and with the Albion Band in Croydon - also excellent!

Oh and in Lark Rise in Brighton and Bromley - great singing.

And I do belive I saw a 10 year old Blair in the Grandson of Morris On concert at Sidmouth in 2002!

And not only that, he shares the same hometown as me (Chesterfield) and he played the childhood scenes in Willy Wonka, acting as a young Johnny Depp... is there no end to his talent!!??!!
