Yo, Guest from Sanity

Subject: Yo, Guest from Sanity
From: Bobert

You asked about my music and not sure that you found where I provided some ways of hearing some of it...

Google up "Sidewalk Bob" (that's my performing name) and check out the YouTube... Also check out my page @ CigarBoxNation where there are clips of my CD "13 Shades of Blue" or...

...send me $10 (plus $2 S&H) and I'll send you my most recent CD, "Sidewalk Bob Live @ Archie Edwards Barbershop" which was recorded last September back where I was a regular for years and years for their afternoon jam sessions... Google it up, too... Very interesting...

Enjoy..

B~

Why don't you use this thread to share links to your music, Guest from Sanity? You've posted links all over the place where people will never discover them.

I've heard one, gn-ze... Very tasty... Kinda "new age-ie"... Woulda fit right nice in those Windham Hill "Samplers" from the late 70's, early 80's...

Also a wealth of information on amplification...

Bobert: "But in doing that I have received 2 requests for my latest CD!!"

Not only that, I'm making arrangements to get you some airplay. You'll need to contact me through my YouTube account, though....and BTW, I wasn't at a Tea party tea party...but was out of town for the day.
I think, that, given the right film, your stuff(or of what I heard), might work in a soundtrack...being as there is not a huge market for that in 'mainstream pop music'....but would work great in a film or documentary. Contact me and I'll see what I can do...and another BTW, you're cigar box axe sounds surprisingly good!...for a cigar box!!...Did Bill Clinton bequeath it to you, after he left office..or before??...

OK..Now there are 4 pieces on YouTube of mine two are instrumentals and two are vocals and guitars...all of them are 'Live' except for 'Seascape' which is three tracks..bit each track was recorded 'live'.
there are notes at the beginning and end of each piece..Oh, and yet another, 'BTW', the instrumentals weren't written as 'New Age', but soundtracks..and have been used as such. The longer one,(29:26) "Bittersuite: Joy" is currently under serious consideration by an Emmy Award documentary outfit, who presently have their shows running, and a major film company....however, if it goes there, it will undergo some changes, in the instrumentation...OK, enough of that stuff..!

Vocals are: "My Lady"....(which has THREE distinct interpretations to the lyrics, in other words, not just singing about a chick, but something more(I won't tell you, but some say it is rather profound).
"My Lady"

Another vocal is "What Would You Care?"..you can jump to there, from "My Lady"..(another lyrically multi-meaning piece)..notes on the video annotations.

"Bittersuite: Joy" Should be played loud and clean..I suggest running through a sound system hooked up to your computers, or through headphone....delicious if the listener is adjusted!!

"Seascape", other instrumental...see notes at video site....just jump over from "Bittersuite: Joy"

Now I have a slug of stuff not yet posted, considerably different from these, that are wonderful pieces, with a few different vocalists, male and female. I'm planning on posting those later, when the computer is ready..they will be 'private' (by permission only). When it happens, I'll holler at ya!

Bobert, contact me...Enjoy...(I hope)..

Regards!

GfS

I just have a few minutes here while I wait for the sun-block to sink in and then it's a day of trying to get a friggin' monster oak tree off my tractor... This kinda stuff is why I am a bluesman... lol... Well, not exactly lol... Anyway, I'll get up with ya' tonight if I survive today...

Havin' my after-lunch-after-short-nap cup of coffee, too... 1/2 Columbian, 1/2 El Salvador ground "Turkish" before heading back into the jungle for an afternoon of sweaty chainsawin' in the hopes of freein' my tractor... Slobber-knocker of a pickle...

Good Lyrics too.

I had heard one a couple months ago, David and loved it... In spite of being an ornery and rowdy ol' bluesman I do like pretty music... I used to buy the Windham Hall samplers and play 'um over and over... I was a big Dan Fogelberg fan...

BTW, GfinS... I don't have a clue how to contact you at YouTube... I mean, I can watch the stuff but I'm not sure what to click on to give you contact info...

So I'll just give you my email address as it ain't so secret... It's

bobnpvine@gmail.com

Email me with yer address and I'll send you my latest CD... There's 3 originals which are studio recorded with various harp (harmonica) players I've played with over the years... It also has 5-6 "live" songs with harp and drums accompaniment...

I'll give serious re-listen to all yer stuff later tonight but everything I've heard is quite tasty...

I just got back from being gone out of town, again, today...
Thank you David, I'm really glad you liked it...there is a whole layer of 'alternate meanings' in the two vocals...I hope they jumped out at you....if not, listen closely and see if at least a couple of clues pop out..(hint: There is absolutely nothing political in them!)

Bobert, touch bases when you can. I'm pretty exhausted right now..if I catch you before I fall over, well....Ok...

Regards!!

I ain't real pudder literate and ain't got no kids around who are...

(You are pathetic, Boberdz... You got 2 college degrees and you can't learn to use a computer...)

You can have the degrees, anon... I ain't using 'um no more...

I donno, GfinS???

I mean she's real easy on the eyes and ears but Celtic music tends to all sound the same... But I'd watch this girl read the phone book...

(Yo, Boberdz... Some folks say the blues all sounds the same...)

Well, maybe they ain't heard 'nuff blues...

B~

p.s. Did I mention that the girl is hot???

Well, I take it that you could see the video, and hear the music....that's mostly what I wanted to know, because my temporary computer here doesn't play or show them all.....So....Bobert...take your pick...or watch them all!

..and there is this one
..and this one, you saw before, but forgot........(you really liked it, too!!)

Bobert: "p.s. Did I mention that the girl is hot???"

She also has three masters in music, and a Ph.D....and is a close musical friend!!

Oh yeah... I remember both of them...

Carolyn Wonderland plays some serious blues... Her style is purdy hybrid... Ain't Mississippi... More like a cross between Mississippi and Texas groove... Definitely very easy on the ears for this fellow blues player..

Secret Garden falls into the delicious category... Reminds me of Enya, who I love...

Keep 'um comin', GfinS...
