13 Jul 12 - 05:22 AM (#3375612) Subject: RE: My Guru at Maidenhead From: My guru always said Oh, Nigel - LOL! Thanks Terry, and everyone also who was at Maidenhead last night, it was wonderful to hear you all singing and harmonising. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and was delighted that I'd been invited to sing there again. I 'think' I only managed to mix up one set of lines and just a couple of hesitations but my attempt to change 'blackfly' to 'horsefly' for Pearl's benefit didn't work *sigh* Just in case anyone is interested, here are the songs I sang: The Snows they Melt the Soonest - Thomas Doubleday. The Higgler - Tony Franklin. Gordon's Song - Byony McGinty. Down Boys Down - Barrie Temple. The Swallows - Vicki Williams. Beachcomber - Simon Cowe. The Dutchman - Michael Smith. The Bergen - Jez Lowe Thaney - Karine Polwart. Wayfaring Strangr - ?? Jenny Greenteeth - Nicole Murray. Hunting Witches - Maureen McGuinness. Regret - Lynne Heraud. You are There - Brian Bedford. Go with a Smile - Brian Bedford. Where Ravens Feed - Graeme Miles. Many thanks again to Maidenhead Folk Club for giving me the opportunity to sing! |
