Radio: Mudcat Radio Episode VIII

Subject: Radio: Mudcat Radio Episode VIII
From: Max

Well, here we are on another Wednesday. We are on schedule for another episode of Mudcat Radio. I haven't thought up a title for this one yet, so any ideas? My chat elf is on vacation this week, so we won't be able to use that, I can no longer use one of the computers that was helping me run the radio show, so this should be interesting. I had a hell of a week that I will tell you about on the show, so of course we'll be winging it again. I hope Bert has something to say. Don't forget to call 1-888-488-9050 or 610-738-9050.

Max, do you read your personal messages? Wanted to send a song, but didn't want to mail-bomb you.

How about "Ready for the Storm", in honor of Floyd and Irene and Jose' and Harry Fox?

How about "Lucky Seven" ala gambling? Sorry to hear about the computer. Eagerly awaiting the "rest of the story" and, hell, Max, isn't "winging it" the ONLY way to do it?**BG**

You could play a bunch of fox-hunting songs.

I think "Hunting the fox" may come in a further episode. *snicker*

"Eluding the hounds...." may be more like it, at this point.

Coming through well in Cornwall.
Mind you so it should, the village I live in is Mullion home of the radio signal, where Marconi worked and his first radio message was recieved.
Sadly I can't seem to get into the chat room.

Sounding good. What's that you two are drinking? Is it cleaning up those brain cells?

It is 8:08 and I'm listening to Mississippi John Hurt sing Stagger Lee or Staggo Lee depending on who your listening to. I've been listening for an hour and it's wonderful. I am enjoying everything I'm listening to. Bert, lovely song.

Love, annap

I had absolutely NO net congestion and you guys sounded great. I, however, was a little on the flat side, but my voice is still screwed up from the cold and blowing it out at the Getaway. (gotta have some excuse...)

Wild guess: Katlaughing was the singer of the final song?

Sexy blues, Max, I like your version! The only problem I had tonight was RealPLayer kept disconnecting and I had to keep reconnecting, so missed bits here & there. WIll have to listen, again. I couldn't go to the threads or anything because it for sure would dump if I did. Oh, and next time I'll have to make Rog use the mixer.:-) T'anks!

I won't get to hear it until tomorrow at w*rk (ever notice that's a four letter word?) but my brother-in-law says the correct adjective for my voice is "odiferous"

Thank you very much, Max. Hounded and threatened, indeed!*bg* Rog did bring home this neat mixer, so I could do it right into the computer and send it that way next time, and maybe my voice will be stronger, and it'll sound better, and maybe I'll get a keyboard soon and add that into the mix, or even the fiddle(!), and maybe I should just shut up now!

Except to say, Jeri, great song and voice! MMario, beautiful, powerful voice; Shambles, your's, too; and, is it Jo77 at the end? I love hearing all of us! Bert, I have to listen, again, I missed your song because it disconnected; Max, loved your songs and Harris, was it? Did a fantastic Stagger Lee.

Thanks, again,

katlaughing

My first thought for the singer of the closing song was WyoWoman - but then, I have never heard any 'Catters sing until this morning on this episode. Then I thought maybe Caroline Paton or kat. It just seemed to me to match WW's personality and personal style. Probably barking up the wrong tree completely.
