25 Jul 12 - 04:04 PM (#3381432) Subject: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: Lonesome EJ Last Tuesday I was in Iowa and working out at the hotel fitness room when the weights got jammed in the track on the Nautilus machine. Never try to unjam a weight machine with your hand! Bottom line is I received a crush injury to my left hand with five fractures. None required surgery or pinning, but I'm in a cast and will probably have to go through a couple of months of therapy afterwards. So my Martin 6 string will be quite lonely for a while. I expect a good recovery, but will likely be left with considerable stiffness in my fingers for some time. It is cause for some concern, and I appreciate any positive thoughts, wishes, prayers, or even good-natured sarcasm (Spaw, I mean)as I heal. LEJ |

If you were meant to lift heavy weights you'd have been born a crane and if you were meant to run some irate father'd be shootin' at ya. In the meantime, from one recovering one-handeer to another...wiping is going to be hard for a while and I suggest wearing loafers instead of shoes that you have to tie. I wish some of you could see what a pathetic shadow of my former ambidextrous lifestyle I am currently bumbling through, and maybe I could get some fucking mudcat mojo up in this bitch instead of a load of comments about my ass and polishing turds. I don't know why everybody else starts a "mudcat mojo" thread and gets sincere well wishes and prayers and invocations to the Great Spirit and such goings on, and I get turd polishing jokes. Anyway, yes, it's coming along. I have a cast on the little finger and ring finger and the rest is out in the open and feeling more limber and stronger. I will have the whole cast off Monday, and start the rehab program. Sincerely, thanks for the good wishes, and things are coming along well, thanks. Love y'all, ya rotten tarts and bastards all. |

17 Aug 12 - 12:55 PM (#3391426) Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Mojo for LEJ From: catspaw49 You DO need some real Mojo Leej.......Let me take this laptop into the john and I will send the following chant which I shall repeat 7 times. This powerful prayer chant was transcribed by Lord Windesmear in 1921 after a prayer vigil with Joseph Pujol the French flatulist, aka Le Petomane. They were about 45 minutes into this session with the god Creppita when Pujol began speaking in tongues repeating the chant I will post below. When it was over, both passed gas and lit matches in the great god's honor. They also noted that many aches and pains they had each been suffering were gone! Over the years they developed this healing technique and it is what I will now do for you. More importantly, I will pass on the procedure so you can do it yourself. First you must be comfortably seated on the can. Then light a match and say, "I seek your favor Great Creppita." Repeat til the match burns out. I need to warn you here not to use one of those fireplace matches as I did once. By the time it burned out my left leg had gone to sleep and I fell off the crapper. When the match is out, repeat this chant 7 times: Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP Booda loop, booda loop, poit-poit, fflllluuuubbb, BBBRRRAAAAWWWWMMMPPP ZZZZIIIZZZZZ FLEEP Now fart after the 7th time and if you can smell it over the burnt match, your prayer will be answered. I will offer the prayer for your healing. You need to do this as well or it may not work as well. Good Luck Leej. Spaw |

I don't anticipate being able to play at all for another month or two. I tried an A chord yesterday and didn't begin to have the required dexterity for it. Still optimistic, but have a ways to go.
