It's a lovely little thing, nice for singing with the grandchildren. Timing it was a real bear. I wish I could make a record of that lovely little flute part, but not in this lifetime... I'll send it to Joe, and he can test his new FTP (forte-tenuto-piano) gadget for posting MIDIs. Watch this spot. Interest in the film was stirred because my first car was a little ford just like the one in the movie, and I still remember the film, in part because of the music. While I would not call Robert Mitchum a great singer, it worked for me. Really liked his versions of The Whippoorwill and Thunder Road and really glad for the youtube links. |
