Spaw, I thought the show airs 11:30-ish PM, at least in much of the US East Coast (with, as you say, many repeats).

YY, It's worth a try. Last week Jon Stewart mentioned that he can again be seen in England. Let us know if it works.

last mon or tues, Pete sang "Quite Early Morning" and plugged the new book of quotes from his personal correspondence

yah! he didn't seem to have a live audience but did his sing-along-with-me gesture, and I was singing along at home

Gee Joe.....You're kinda' outta' touch huh? Otherwise you'd have noted that we had a thread on this even before he was on and all and could have helped poor MAG out a bit. Previous thread

Spaw .... being a smart ass
I thought there was a thread on this, with a link to the broadcast - but I couldn't find it. Thanks for finding it. Threads combined. -Joe-

I saw the interview. It was a bit awkward (for Colbert and the audience) as Colbert DOES run a comedy show but Pete was cool. He ignored the comedy type questions and barbs and just answered what the real gist of things was. The biggest problem was the lack of time. Colbert messed up when he didn't do an hour long show or longer. Heck! It's Pete for Pete's sake eh! 93 eh! an' still gett'n'r done!

9... whaddya mean? You don't have access to Rogers cable? Rogers is EVERYwhere! Rogers might just crawl up yer ass and install cable if yer a light sleeper.
Here ya go, 9.

Thank you Gnu. I do not have cable or any such thing. I haven't watched TV in decades. What I meant was that when I opened Joe's hot link of
11 Aug 12 - 05:32 PM it says Video Not Available.

9... yup. That is why I posted the Canuck link for you.

BTW... Canucks can watch Colbert and Stewart, among other shows, at that site. Stewart is worth the watch for great interviews with all manner of peeps and topics, especially US politics ("world" politics and leaders too). Stewart is not just a comic... he is very intelligent and well read. I often find his "news" more informative than the mainstream media.

yeh - I watch Stewart for his take on news -- hard to take it straight -- he's one of the few willing to take on Fox News head on
