08 Aug 12 - 02:16 AM (#3387413) Subject: RE: Tech: Babylon From: JohnInKansas A caution about Restore may be in order. It appears that the default setups in Win7 may not always turn on the Restore function. If you don't check to make sure it's on before you need it, when you do need a Restore you may have no restore points saved to go back to. Turning it off deletes all existing restore points, so it's also a good practice to reboot a couple of times after turning it back on, since it generally only saves a restore point if it finds something changed during a new start. Turning it on doesn't usually create a restore point until you restart the OS, so you still don't have one saved if you just flip Restore on and leave the machine running 24/7. John |
