BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy

After way too long and many applications and resumes dropped off later, J-boy had a job interview yesterday for a job he'd be perfect for. There were two others to be interviewed, so we could use a little of that awesome Mudcat mojo sent Jason's way.

Wow -- really hope this all works out for you!

Of course you do intend to send a follow-up thankyou-for-the-interview note, this weekend, yes?

FACT: Would you believe that only 10% of job applicants take the time to send interview thank you notes?

Good luck!

The follow-up letter/email is only good if you want to reinforce or expand on the interview/discussions/notes. Otherwise, you are badgering the interviewer(s). Not a good idea. If you don't provide something fresh and new you are providing a reason to place yer file at the bottom of the pile.

I've always heard that the thank-you-for-the-interview note is a good idea. Even if a candidate doesn't get the job, his demonstration of good manners might put him at the top of the list for the next job.

Of course, J-boy will get this job, and his demonstration of good manners will be appreciated and remembered when he starts working.

And so we wait... The woman who makes the hiring decisions went on vacation for the week. Jason's feeling a bit anxious.
