Asking for my brother...anyone know of a safe place to download the free version of Finale 2011?

Thanks,

kat

Softonic in Barcelona seem reputable and they've got what seems to be what you're asking for.

But what do you actually get? A trial version that stops saving files after a month?

The usual recommendation for program downloads is that you get them from the Publisher.

I don't see anything free at the site other than trial versions, however.

Quite often, when you click to download, you'll be offered "authorized download sites" so that you can pick one close to home, but I don't know if Finale does that. The ones listed on the pubishers site generally can be trusted.

I've always used Noteworthy Composer, so I have never taken the time to really learn to use Finale. I've known people who use Finale Notepad and swear by it. I think it has the features most people need (unless they're doing symphonic orchestration), and it's free (and a completely safe download).
