Venue 82 until Aug 20 Do see this if you're a folkie in Edinburgh or up for the Festival. Fast, busy musical story telling of the life of Woodrow Guthrie with eight musicians taking turns at being Woody as his life moves on using as much song as dialogue. Non stop show on a big stage to a great reception and how's this for a curtain call - half the cast followed the parting audience outside to the steps of the venue and carried on singing songs from the show! |
