True Blue - Irish charity CD

In September last year the taxi driver whotook us to the airport in Dublin sold us a CD in aid of the Rise Foundation, an Irish charity that supports families with loved ones in addiction. We were quite happy to shell out however many Euros it was for a good cause, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it contained some really fine songs, and excellent performances. I particularly enjoyed the title track, in honour of the Dubs, since the day we landed in Dublin was the day that Dublin won the championship in Gaelic football. There is also a great song called 43-13, celebrating Ireland's famous victory over England in the 6 Nations at Croke Park. I am now loading it onto iTunes, but as with a lot of privately produced CDs, there isn't a lot of information in the liner notes, such as who wrote the songs, and who are the singers for each track. Can any Irish catters supply any information, or suggest who I could contact?

The Rise Foundation could be a good start.

The "True Blue" group consists of Toddy Griffin, John Healy and Pat Good ,and I imagine Pat Good, or either of the other two, wrote all the songs, with the exception of "House of Cards", which is credited to someone called Keelaghan. Other artists perfoming on the CD are Damien Dempsey, Francis Black, Aoife Scott ( all vocal), John Sheehan fo teh Dubliners(Whistle and Fiddle), the late Barney McKenna (Banjo), Doc Savage (Bass), and Liam Kennedy (Mandolin).
There is an e-mail address for Pat Good on the insert I got with the CD which may provide more information.

Thanks Zozimus. That CD was a nice end to a very pleasant stay in Dublin. I will try that email. I didn't realize it was for someone in the group.

Hi CET,
If you translate Pat Good into Irish, you get Padraig Maith, so I'm sure that's Pat's e-mail.
