We are assembling this now and there might be room for a few more..I promised slots to several people and am not sure I have everyone on my spreadsheet I promised.

Anyway, will be given..first run...to abused girls near where I live..probably followed by abused boys. Even if CD is not complete as I want it I need totally run off by Dec 1.   This has to do with a camp I am involved in.

There will be no royalties, no financial incentive other than you can buy at cost..probably aroun $4 with no royalties..and sell as many as you want for profit or not for profit..there will be something right on cd that says OK to copy so if you don['t believe in that this is not for you.
\
Purpose is to get into hands of children..foster children, poor children etc. You can get one copy for $10 or so and copy as many as you want. If some get to Bill Gates' kids for free that is OK. Sasha Obama..OK.

WHAT i will need is a very good, preferably professionally recorded lullaby. Has to be pretty, not religious, nothing disturbing...like this is the day we give babies away.. no..

There is no money to do this..you would have to do it yourself withy your own funds, find someone willing to do it for free, use your computer or whatever. A sound engineer will determine the quality, nbot me, because I have very high tolerance for low quality recordings...static etc. Doesn't bother me a bit.

I think we are leaning already to songs in Gaelic..have two in Irish and I think one coming up in Scotts andmaybe one in Manx. That is fine. I think I have SPanish and Russian covered. One in Japanese for the tsunami children would be nice. pROBABLY ave German covered as well.

Sound engineer will like wav I think but you can send me an MP3 to mgarvey@wsu.edu

DOn't get feelings hurt if it doesn't get on because I have already promised a num ber of people and if they can get stuff to me in time they have first dibs.

If you have one already on CD that is easiest for all concerned. Remember,no royalties.

I will say one I want is Cape Breton Lullaby with first dibs going to someone from Cape Breton.

This so far has more men than women which is very good because they aren['t represented as much in lullabys and there are other reasons as well. I realize there could be abuse situations where a child would not want to hear a man or a woman so we could just do one gender or the other in those situations.

I can't quite tell from your first post: are you looking for more artists? This sounds like a very worthy cause.

I have sent you a PM.

That is certainly beautiful but more of an adult theme than I had in mind.

What I do need is 10,000 Welsh coal miners to sing All throughthe night in Welsh..any ideas how to accomplish that? From an old recording? Concert tape? Must have absolute ability to copy at will for free by anybody, which some people would not like, but some would be fine with.

So far I think we have:
Wind of the western sea
Ba Li Ballery??
Cape Breton lullaby..no one has claimed this yet
Coulter's Candy
One David did about snow in Gaelic
Bann Brenn??
Prob Castle of Dromour
One in German
One in Japanese (need to find someone to do this who is Japanese)
2 in Spanish
One in Scots Gaelic
One something about babies in trees..can't have it if cradles falls...
All through the night in Welsh..need group recording of men

Probably some more...I have to do one too..I love lullabies...

I am trying to resurrect who I promised what to and will be ruthless with deadline..but there probably is space for a couple more even with a couple of people I forgot. No religious theme and no harm coming to baby.
