12 Oct 12 - 07:01 PM (#3418853) Subject: Live sessions in New York? From: MattJ Hello folks, I'm an Englishman in New York for a couple of weeks. I wondered if anyone here could recommend any folk/acoustic sessions I might attend while here? It seems there are a few "Irish folk" in various Irish pubs, which are possibly the closest to what I'm looking for - though I would appreciate music without a specifically Irish bias if possible. Suggestions, perhaps from people around the area? Thanks! |

From: GUEST Just back from a two week holiday in the Big Apple, we do not play so were only looking for concert type gigs, we found this link http://www.acousticlive.com/acoustic_live/Listings.html Hope you can find what you are looking for there You can get almost anywhere on the Subway and it runs 24 hours. We went to a house concert on the Upper West Side, a coffee house type folk club in Brooklyn, and one on City Island in the Bronx. |
