Friday 23rd November 2012 @ The Bell Hotel, Driffield, East Yorkshire! It was back in 2007 when Chris Helme kicked off the 1st Moonbeams at The Bell Hotel... 5 lovely years later.. wonderful times have been had.. friendships have been made.. and the finest musicians have played.. So it's a fine excuse for us to have a birthday celebration! The night will be started with a concert from Andy Stones, Nick Rooke, Paul Liddell.. Then.. it's 'don your dancing shoes' and dance the night away to The Supermodels! and there will be Cake!! 8.00pm start.. doors at 7.30pm Do come along.. it will be a grand night.. They really are the most amazing covers band I have ever seen.. and I can guarantee that they will have you up and dancing.. (maybe even on the tables) They have wowed audiences for years playing brilliant cover songs by The Who, Lenny Kravitz, Genesis, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello.. and the list goes on.. Great Stuff!! Paul Liddell.. so lovely to have Paul joining us for this birthday celebration. How fantastic is he!!! I love him, you love him, everyone loves him!! Paul's vocals, guitar percussion, live loopingbeats, effects and random trumpet playing combine to create a beautiful, varied and dynamic sound.. One hell of a guy!! Nick Rooke.. it's Nick's first appearance at Moonbeams and it is most definitely the start of a long relationship. It's a joy to listen to Nick, with his lovely songs and happy bubbly personality.. Originally from Barnsley and now living in Driffield.. I know you will love everything about this local lad! Andy Stones.. The Ginger Prince.. it's not Moonbeams without this lad, and I'm over the moon that he is joining us for this special occasion. Andy is a musician and a songsmith of the highest calibre, his finger-picking style of guitar playing unleashed intricate patterns of notes and melodies it does not seem possible to produce with one guitar - he is technically superb. His songwriting and vocal ability take the listener on a journey through memories and experiences.. Always a pleasure to listen to! leila :-) |
