I have seen all of his TV shows and read his books and listened to his cassettes/CDs/DVDs and those clips pale terribly in comparison to his body of work and his contributions to Maine (and beyond) folk music and humour. In any case, even those short clips personify the man, to a degree, "in short". The music... yeah, and I have heard Mudcatters of note say his songwriting is perfection, equalled, perhaps, but not surpassed. But, to me, it's the story telling I have witnessed as I can't write a tune worth a dime (yet?) but I can tell a damn good story and to listen to a master storyteller is a joy for me. I can attest that his storytelling is a true joy to witness. The only other person on this earth I want to share a wee drop with more than with him is gone so I guess I'll have to settle with meeting up with Kendall some day. Again, thanks, m. |

I regularly conduct a google search on the show; this is the first time those 2 clips have shown up. They are indeed short, but they show that MPBN does have some of the show on file. I wonder what effect Facebook members' comments might have in showing the level of interest there is in a return of the whole series? |
