Lyr Req: NOT 'The Friendly Beasts'

Hello friends,
I am trying to track down a song I heard many years ago (sung by Michael Cooney I think). It had a Christmas theme and a very lovely melody. I believe it was sung from the point of view of the donkey (or perhaps several animals) either in the manger or at about the time of Jesus' birth. It was not the relatively common song "The Friendly Beasts", but more than that my old memory can't recall. Hoping someone out there might suggest a candidate that will point me to my target.
Wishing you all well,

Hello again,
Just following up to say that I did get an e-mail from Michael Cooney on this subject. The song he thought it was turned out not to be the one I was thinking of, though he did lead me to an old Pete Seeger record which contained the song I remember. The record is on Smithsonian Folkways and titled "Pete Seeger Traditional Christmas Carols."

The song I was seeking is "The Carol of the Beasts", and you can listen to the record at this Youtube link. Lovely song, with a kind of comment about the world of today.

Wishing you all well.
