05 Dec 12 - 04:44 AM (#3447279) Subject: Carol Singaround Swindon From: GUEST,Swindon/Enfield Pete I'm running a Carol Singaround loosely based on the Yorkshire tradition this coming Sunday (9th Dec. 2012) at the Wheatsheaf Alehouse, Newport Street, Swindon Wilts starting "about" 2 o'clock. Swindon Folksingers Club are putting on their Mummers Play and Swindon's new Rapper team (Brown Paper Wrapper) have said they'll attend. Bit of singaround of non-seasonal stuff too and a few tunes. If any morris dancer(s)or side fancys doing anything you are more than welcome it would be great to add to the procedings. A solo jig would be great! Would be great to see some Catters and Melnets too. All Welcome. Have a Great Festive Season - Pete |

06 Dec 12 - 12:02 PM (#3448093) Subject: RE: Carol Singaround Swindon From: Mr Red not that far from Swindon Prince Albert Rodborough (1 mile from Stroud Gloucs town centre) hold a Carol Sunday on the three Sundays before Christmas. 12:30 pm start but frankly - get there before - it is rather popular. A lot of devout atheists singing religious songs heartily. That's Folk folks. |
