I was in Galway Ireland last year....and heard in a pub during a Karoke... a Northern Irish song with a wonderfull video. It's about "My town"? Every one new it and sang it. The video had war scenes and pretty scenes. Any idea's what it was? Thanks

Must be "The Town I Loved So Well." Great song. You'll find it in the database.

All the best,

"in my memory i will always see the town that i have loved so well, where the school played ball by the gasyard wall and we laughed through the smoke and the smell"

A song about the town of Derry, called "The Town I Loved So Well". Artists Phill Coulter, The Dubliners and also Foster and Allen.

I have it also by a group called "Moonshine" that performed with Jury's Irish Caberet. A song of fairly recent vintage, I believe.
